Printing capabilities

Print that works as hard as the box.

From simple one-colour transit cartons to photographic retail packaging, RightBox specifies the right print method for each line, and sources it through our manufacturing partner network, consistently across sites and countries.

Print methods

The right method for every line.

Each method balances print quality, set-up cost, unit price and run length differently. We recommend the one that fits the job the box has to do.

01

Flexographic post-print

Printed directly onto the finished corrugated board using flexible plates. The most economical route for transit and shipping packaging at volume.

Run length
Medium to very high
Print quality
Good: line work, text, logos, block colour
Best for
Shipping cartons, transit and secondary packaging
02

Pre-print

Graphics printed onto reels of liner before the board is corrugated, giving sharper detail and better colour control across long runs.

Run length
High to very high
Print quality
Very good: fine detail and consistent colour
Best for
Branded e-commerce and retail-ready packaging
03

Litho-lamination

A high-quality printed sheet laminated onto corrugated board, photographic imagery with the strength of corrugated underneath.

Run length
Medium to high
Print quality
Excellent: photographic, vibrant colour
Best for
Premium retail, display and presentation packs
04

Digital print

Printed straight from a digital file with no plates. Ideal for short runs, prototypes, versioning and fast artwork changes.

Run length
Short to medium
Print quality
Very good: full colour without plate costs
Best for
Short runs, seasonal variants, samples and launches
Finishes & options

Detail that makes the difference.

Options are specified per line and confirmed with the manufacturing partner best suited to the job.

Colour matching

Brand colours matched to Pantone or CMYK references, with proofs approved before production.

Board surface

Brown kraft, white-top or fully bleached liners, chosen to suit the print result and budget.

Coatings & varnishes

Protective and water-resistant coatings, and gloss or matt finishes for retail packaging.

Inside print

Messages, instructions or unboxing graphics printed on the inside of the box.

Codes & marks

Barcodes, handling symbols, recycling marks and regulatory information printed to specification.

Variants & versioning

Regional, seasonal or SKU-specific artwork managed without multiplying cost or stock.

From artwork to delivery

A controlled print process.

Print is where specifications most often drift between suppliers and sites. We keep it controlled from the first proof to repeat orders.

1

Brief

We review the product, channel and print expectations, and recommend the most cost-effective method.

2

Artwork check

Artwork is checked against the dieline, print method and board so it prints as intended.

3

Proof & sample

Digital proofs and, where needed, physical samples are approved before production.

4

Consistent repeats

Approved specifications and colour references are stored, so every reorder and every site matches.
