How RightBox works

A structured approach to a complex category.

Four stages take corrugated packaging from a recurring cost line to a managed, measured category, with clear ownership, data and accountability at every step.

1

Understand

We analyse the organisation’s existing packaging requirements, specifications, volumes, operational constraints and commercial objectives.

Before recommending anything, we build an accurate picture of how packaging is bought and used today, across every site, supplier and specification.

Typical outputs

  • Spend and volume baseline
  • Specification and SKU inventory
  • Site and supplier mapping
  • Stakeholder objectives across procurement, operations and finance
2

Strategise

We identify opportunities across sourcing, specification, cost, supply resilience and sustainability.

We turn the baseline into a prioritised plan, quantifying each opportunity and weighing it against operational risk.

Typical outputs

  • Prioritised opportunity report
  • Specification rationalisation proposals
  • Sourcing and supply model options
  • Business case for decision-makers
3

Implement

RightBox coordinates the appropriate manufacturing and supply solution around the customer’s requirements.

Changes are introduced in a controlled way, trialled, approved and rolled out without disrupting production or fulfilment.

Typical outputs

  • Transition and rollout plan
  • Sampling and line trials
  • Stock and call-off arrangements
  • Site-by-site go-live coordination
4

Optimise

We continuously review performance, spend and opportunities for improvement.

The programme doesn’t stop at go-live. Performance is measured, reported and reviewed so value continues to build over time.

Typical outputs

  • Supplier performance KPIs
  • Regular spend and service reviews
  • Ongoing improvement roadmap
  • Sustainability and material reporting

Questions

Common questions from procurement teams.

Does RightBox manufacture the boxes itself?

No. RightBox works with a network of approved manufacturing partners. We select the right partner for each specification, manage quality and performance, and remain your single point of accountability.

Do we need to change suppliers to work with RightBox?

Not necessarily. The right answer depends on what the analysis shows. RightBox coordinates the appropriate manufacturing and supply solution for your requirements, and any transition is planned to protect continuity.

What information do you need to get started?

A recent view of packaging purchases is the most useful starting point, typically invoices or purchase data, current specifications and a list of sites. We can work with whatever format you have.

How long does the initial analysis take?

This depends on the number of sites, suppliers and specifications involved. We’ll give you a timeline once we understand the scope.

Is RightBox only for very large organisations?

Our strategic account service is typically suited to organisations with £20m+ turnover or significant annual corrugated spend. We still welcome enquiries from other businesses and will recommend the most suitable service.

How are results measured?

We agree the measures that matter at the start, such as total cost, specification count, service levels and material use, and report against them throughout the programme.

Next step

Start with a clear picture of your spend.

Share your requirements and we will explain how the first stage would work for your organisation.
